On Wednesday, January 17, 2018 Gilmore called 911 at around 8:00 a.m., stating he and Paramar had been shot. ^{[undefined] [undefined] [1]}

Authorities arrived at the scene and had to force entry because both were unable to move from their locations.

Both were transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford.
