Josh Lipton is CNBC's technology Correspondent, working from CNBC's Silicon Valley bureau.

Josh Lipton joined CNBC in January 2013 as an on-air markets Reporter located at CNBC Global Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Prior to that, since 2011, Josh was the markets Editor for Bloomberg Television, where he was responsible for all markets coverage, working with Bloomberg's team to develop reports on Stocks, Bonds, Currencies and Commodities. He also appeared weekdays on "In the Loop with Betty Liu."

Previously, Josh worked as a Staff writer at Minyanville, where he covered the Capital markets. Besides, he served as a Staff writer for Forbes, where he reported on Finance and Investing and contributed stock recommendations and investigative feature stories. Josh appeared weekly on Forbes on Fox, the internationally syndicated News program focused on Economics and Financial markets.

Josh Lipton's articles have appeared in Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal, The American Lawyer and many others.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political science from Colgate University and a Master's degree in Political theory rom London School of Economics and in Journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
