At work

Josh Dawsey became White House Reporter at Politico in 2016. Prior to that, he was New York City Hall reporter at The Wall Street Journal starting in 2012.

At The Wall Street Journal, Josh Dawsey broke a number of stories about federal investigations into City Hall, record lobbying in the city and the questionable ethica activities of the mayor’s political non-profit and his outside advisers. He wrote detailed portraits of the mayor’s management style and character, chronicling Bill de Blasio’s attempts to become a leader in the Democratic Party and his intra-party feud with Gov. Andrew Cuomo. [1]

Education

Dawsey earned a BA in Journalism from University of South Carolina, Columbia in 2012. While there, he was Editor-In-Chief for the campus newspaper, The Daily Gamecock .
