Jordan Hankins was a 19-year-old sophomore who attended Northwestern University. She was a member of the Northwestern Wildcats women's basketball team. [3]

Hankins originally hails from Indianapolis, IN and graduated from Lawrence North High School. As a basketball player, she earned several honors including **** All-Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference (MIC) First Team honoree, BLUE STAR Top 100 recruit, and the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association/Subway Underclass All-State All-State Honorable Mention in both 2013 and 2014. [1]After being recruited by Northwestern, Hankins proved to be a dynamic player off the bench. In her career, she averaged nearly four points a game while also having a great impact on defense. [1]
Academics
In high school, Hankins was a National Honor Society member and had a spot on the Distinguished Honor Roll due to her academic excellence.
She worked at Red Lobster (restaurant) at one point in her life. Hankins wanted to study biological sciences in college and aspired to go to medical school after college. She is remembered by her peers and family for being a role model to her teammates and being a dedicated young woman who cared deeply about those who were closest to her. [10] [1] [3]
Death
On January 9th, Hankins was found dead in her dorm room.
The cause of death has not been determined.
