Career
Most recently, John was the creator, and Editor-in-chief, of Woolly, a magazine, co-produced by sleep startup Casper and literary publisher McSweeney’s.
Before that, he was the creator and Editor-in-chief of Internet Action Force, a studio that produced short videos about pop culture and current events for social platforms.
[0]Previously, John was Managing Editor of Team Coco Digital, the Emmy Award-winning multimedia digital destination for the late-night comedy talk show CONAN on TBS.
Before moving to L.A. to join Team Coco, he was Managing Editor of truTV, where he developed digital content and social media strategies.
[0]John is the recipient of two 2015 James Beard literary awards for my comedic essay about Taco Bell and growing up biracial for Eater.
He has also written for Comedy Central, Esquire, Marvel, GQ, Sirius XM, Vanity Fair, and Medium.
Education
In 1996 John received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University.
