John Dalton Jr. is a convicted felon residing in Omaha, Nebraska. ^[1]

He married Shannon N. Dalton in 1993. The couple had three children together. ^[1]

Dalton was released from the Nebraska prison system in 2010 after serving more than 11 years on manslaughter and weapons charges in connection to the 1998 slaying of his wife, Shannon at their then home on Ruggles Street. ^[1]

Dalton had initially faced a second-degree murder charge in the September 7, 1998, shooting death of his wife, Shannon, 22, while the couple's three children, who were 6, 5, and 3 at the time, were at their home at 3489 Ruggles St. ^[1]

Shannon's body was found on the floor of the living room at the couple's home.

After the slaying, Dalton fled in his wife's car.

On Tuesday, December 26, 2017, officers were called to a home at 3912 N 37th just after 8:00 p.m. local time and found three victims dead at the scene.

John is believed to be a person of interest in the homicides. Police at the scene confirmed Dalton was related to at least one of the victims. ^[1]
