John D. Hofmeister
John D. Hofmeister founded Affordable Energy Inc. and serves as its Chief Executive Officer of Citizens.
Hofmeister served as the President of Shell Oil Company from March 1, 2005 to June 2008 and also served as its U.S.
Country Chair.
He served as the Director of Human Resources at The Royal Dutch /Shell Group.
He served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Human Resources of Shell Oil Company.
He served as Vice President of International Human Resources of AlliedSignal.
He was responsible for developing and implementing AlliedSignal's Asian and European human resources strategy and infrastructure for its Aerospace, Automotive and Engineered Materials businesses.
Mr. Hofmeister joined AlliedSignal in 1992 as Vice President of Human Resources for its Aerospace business.
From 1988 to 1992, he was employed with Northern Telecom (now known as Nortel), where he served as Vice President of Human Resources since 1990.
Career
Mr. Hofmeister began his career in 1973 in the General Electric Lighting Business' international marketing and sales department.
During his fifteen years at General Electric, he held a variety of marketing, manufacturing and human resource positions in five of GE's major businesses, including locomotives, telecommunications, factory automation and electric motors.
His last position at GE was General Manager of Motor Relations Operation.
He joined Shell as Director of Human Resources in 1997 and served as Country Chair of Shell US.
Mr. Hofmeister serves as the Chairman of the National Urban League.
He has been the Chairman of the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board since September 2010.
Hofmeister served as the Chairman of U.S.A.
Operations of Royal Dutch Shell since March 2005.
He served as the Chairman of the Board of Greater Houston Partnership.
He has been a Director of Lufkin Industries since January 4, 2010.
He has been a Senior Independent Director and Non Executive Director of Hunting Plc since June 2010 and August 2009 respectively.
He has been a Director at CAMAC Energy (now known as Erin Energy Corporation) since April 7, 2010.
