Johanna Gomez is a Journalist and Television presenter who works as the co-host and reporter for " 6 in the Mix," which is a daily lifestyle show on NBC 6 South Florida, at 11:30 a.m. on weekdays, the program has its focus on food, fun, the hottest hangouts and celebrities. Gomez joined NBC 6 in 2014 as an active contributor to "6 in the Mix" and NBC 6 News.

Joanna Gomez is married to husband Steve, and they have both have three children.
Education
Not much information about her education is available to media sources but she attended and graduated from Florida International University,with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication in the school of Journalism. [6]
Career
Johanna started out her career in the broadcasting world at NBC Universo Network, where she both co-hosted and reported for "Fuzion" which was an entertainment news show. Later on, she served as host for " The Report" a nightly interactive news program and working later as an on-air personality for Chat and other network TV shows.
In her already illustrious career Johanna has also hosted "MD Connected" for Cable Tap TV, Miami Dade County's public access channel, a program which informs the viewers and keeps them updated on information concerning community initiatives in South Florida and upcoming cultural events. [2]
Gomez worked as a reporter for WPLG Local 10, South Florida's American Broadcasting Company affiliate network for about five years showing diligence as she covered a wide variety of stories during her time working at the station. Other than reporting,she had a weekly production where she wrote her own segment in the Local 10 Weekender, which updated the South Florida community on all activities and events. [3]
Gomez has also worked as a sideline reporter for Fox Sports Sun for two seasons, and during this time she contributed to the HEAT broadcast during the 2012 and 2013 championship seasons,later winning a Suncoast Chapter Emmy for the live HEAT championship celebration coverage. Between 2008 and 2010 Gomez also worked for Marlins Vision at all home Baseball games for the Miami Marlins as the in-game entertainment host. [4]
Other Activities
Other than being a journalist she is currently a mentor for the Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program and an active member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. [5]
