Joei Fulco
Joei Fulco is a musician from California. She is The Voice Season 18 contestant.
Early Life and Career
Fulco's first performance was at two years old when she joined her dad's band onstage to sing "Jingle Bells" in front of 2,000 people.
Her dad was a professional bodybuilder until he quit to be a traveling musician, taking the family all over the world.
Now Joei and her siblings all play with their dad in the family band and make their living as musicians.[1]
In 2014, when Joei was 17, her family band played at a music festival in China and embarked on a 16-stop tour of Europe.
That same year, they released a 16-song album called “Meet the Fulcos.”[6]
Recently, she has performed as a duo with her brother Jesse, covering a wide range of classics and newer music with a few originals mixed in as the Fulco Experience.
The Fulco Experience released a pair of singles in 2019 - “Red Roses” and “Star Spangled Through and Through.”[6]
The Voice
Fulco landed herself a prime spot on team Blake Shelton on The Voice Season 18 with her cover of Cher’s “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves”. Shelton used his only block on Nick Jonas to work with Fulco. “The fact that you’re bringing that sound to current music is what’s gonna set you apart from everybody else,” Shelton told Fulco. “Hello, country rock. Welcome home, sis. Welcome to Team Blake.” [3][4]
“I’m so excited to CHER this experience with you @blakeshelton #TeamBlake @NBCTheVoice I’M SO EXCITED!!!!” Joei tweeted after her choice was revealed.[5]
