Joe Trahan is a reporter / anchor at WFAA in Dallas, TX, specializing in sports. Joe joined Channel June 8 2003 and has been a fixture on the local sports scene for more than half of his nearly 30-year career in local television news.[1]
Early Life
Joe Trahan hails from Houston, Texas. He attended Loyola University of New Orleans between 1986 and 1990 and he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Communication. Joe began his broadcasting career right from college since that was is passion right from young age.
Career
The native Houstonian began his career in 1989 while he was still in college. During his senior year at Loyola University of New Orleans, he worked the overnight shift as a news writer on WWL-TV’s highly successful morning show. Joe’s on-air sports career began immediately after his Bachelor's degree in 1991 at WCBD-TV in Charleston, SC. He serves as the Sports Anchor and Reporter for the Organization for 3 years and 1 months before leaving in June 1994.
Joe Trahan returns to New Orleans in 1994 to take up the role of a Sport Director/Sports Anchor/Sports Reporter at WVUE-TV. He rendered his excellent service for the broadcasting station for nine years before joining WFAA in 2003.
Since joining WFAA, covered title runs from the Rangers and Maverick including the Mavs magical run that ended with a championship in 2011. He’s still waiting on something similar from the Cowboys and Stars. He has describe his 17 years at WFAA to be awesome even as he further his experience in Journalism.

Personal Life
Joe is married to Amy is the married is blessed with two daughters Sophia and Sydney, and the whole family reside in Frisco. Joe is a lover of Pop music.
He also likes sharing stories that highlight the best in people.
Finding examples in sports that illustrate the triumph of the human spirit are his favorite.
