Death
On February 10, 2017, Clemmons was killed in an officer involved shooting in Nashville, Tennessee. [undefined] He was the subject of a traffic stop just before 1:00 p.m. but began a struggle when he was approached by Officer Josh Lippert and then ran away. [undefined]
Officer Lippert noticed a handgun in Clemmons's hand during a second struggle and fired an unknown number of times.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. [undefined]
Investigation
Officer Lippert has been placed on administrative assignment after the incident.
