Early life
Before fame
He first moved to London to work as the head pastry chef for L'Atelier before beginning work at Mayfair's The Greenhouse.
Rise to fame
Joakim started working at aged fourteen, according to him
“I wanted to know everything in the industry.
So at fourteen I became an apprentice, working in the main kitchen and studying in cooking school as well”.
By the time he was sixteen, he started working from 4 o’clock in the morning to 4 o’clock the next afternoon, whilst continuing to learn about pastry in school.
He moved out from home when I was 16.
Got my own place and started living independently.
Working those hours as a teenager have inculcated a killer work ethic in him, no wonder he excel in his field.
According to him during a Interview section
“It’s certainly a different approach but the French training allows you to learn about the professional life earlier than in other countries”.

Joakim is active on social media platforms such as Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, where he has over 100k followers on his Instagram page where he showcast his unique cooking recipes.
He also has a Twitter account, though he is hardly active on the platform but he updates subsequently most of his baking work. His late post was June 30th, 2020 sharing a photo of himself.
Trivia
He is known for having earned three Michelin stars for his work at Can Fabes in Barcelona.
