On January 7th, 2016, Rudometkin was killed by three assailants who invaded his home.

Although many details on his exact death are unclear, Rudometkin was shot during the robbery.

The three assailants left Rudometkin's home with various belongings; Following the robbery, Downey Police Officers reporting to the scene of the crime caught and arrested two of the assailants.
