Jeremy Hibma is a 19-year-old from Wayland, Michigan. ^[1]

Hibma grew up in rural Michigan and attended Hopkins High School. He graduated in 2016 and was known by his peers for his sense of humor. After graduating, he worked in construction. In his free time, Hibma enjoyed listening to Chance the Rapper and spending time with friends. He is remembered for his contagious smile and his uplifting spirit. ^[1]

In the early morning of April 1st, Jeremy was driving eastbound on 100th street with his 2005 Chevy Trailblazer crashed into the back of the semi-truck stopped at a red light at the intersection of US 131 and 100th Street. Hibma died shortly after. He was not wearing a seatbelt and investigators believe speed was a factor in the accident.
