Jeremiah "Jeremy" Johnston is an American convicted felony residing in Aloha, Oregon. ^[1]

Johnston was sentenced in July 2015 in Washington County Circuit Court to 23 months in prison for delivery of cocaine, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine. ^[1]

He was arrested in August 2017, for cocaine possession in Multnomah County and at the time reported to court staff that he had been released from prison three months earlier and was living with his mother at a home in the 8000 block of Southwest 166 th Place in Aloha. ^[1]

He pleaded guilty in September 2017 to the cocaine charge and was sentenced to a year and a half of probation and allowed to enter a treatment program. ^[1]

On Thursday, January 25, 2018, Johnston was taken into custody in connection to the death of Sara Zghoul. Authorities found the body of Sara Zhgoul stuffed into two suitcases in a black BMW. The car was parked near the home of his mother, where he'd been living at the time. ^[1]

As police closed in on him, Johnston tried to slash his throat and wrists.

He remained hospitalized and had not been booked.
