Jennifer Jensen is an American Reporter and Multimedia Journalist who works at the WCIA News station, Champaign, Illinois, United States. She is popular for producing vibrant stories that makes people stop what they're doing to listen and learn.[1]
Early Life
Jennifer was born and brought up in Oregon, California. She used to spend time camping by the waterfalls in Yosemite and also was fond of climbing the mountains along the Columbia River. She cherishes those memories.
Education
Jennifer completed her education in California.
She completed schooling from Oregon.
She went to Biola University, La Mirada, California and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism in 2016. She specializes in Broadcast journalism.[2]
Career
Jennifer started working as an 'Admission Assistant' during her college days.
She reviewed and pre-screened incoming student admission essays for substance and competency for over 15 months from 2012 to 2013.
She also helped them in online filing of documents and archive material.
She started working as a 'Journalism Teaching Assistant' at Biola University and worked for four months in 2016-17. She helped multiple professors in the journalism department at the Biola University in producing and creating content for various web articles, shooting events on campus, and also editing final stories for the media department promotions.
She joined news desk at TMZ as an Intern in September 2016. She researched and break the interesting and biggest stories in entertainment and Celebrity world. She also applied new and innovative story ideas targeted toward the interests of millions of online and TV viewers. She also worked as an Investigative News Intern at CBS News's KCAL-TV channel, where she served and helped in undercover assignments. She helped to cover stories that exposed government Corruption.[2]
She joined WCIA in January 2017 as a News Reporter. She promoted as a Fill-in News Anchor and Produced in July 2017. She is still working at WCIA. In this span of three years, She prepared and performed live on-air reports, including research, interviews, script writing, and fact checking to consistently meet tight schedules. She created social media content to generate online presence and promote brand integrity .
She also established an excellent source network to make trustworthy communication for story alliance.
As an anchor, she led a team of reporters and Photographers and helped them in troubleshooting problems, and navigating the complexities of a constantly changing environment She was also involved in copy writing for Social media and website content. She produced and presented various shows on the channel.[1][2]
Personal Life
Jennifer lives in Champaign, Illinois.
She is passionate for adventure sports and loves to do skydiving, white water rafting and everything in between.
She is a food junkie as well.
She also likes to go on camping, road-tripping, and singing along to Elvis Presley and John Denver songs. She picked up a new hobby of Skating in the quarantine ( because of Coronavirus (COVID-19)).
