She contracted tonsillitis prior to the third live "X Factor" show, hindering her performance and hurting her standing within the contestant roster. She used Twitter and her YouTube channel post-"X Factor" to build her fan base and joined Lyric 145 for their cover of "One More Night" by Maroon 5. Her family threw her a welcome-home bash following her departure from "The X-Factor". She used "Paris (Oh La La)" by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals as her audition piece. ^[1]
