Education
Art
Jenkin is a filmmaker working with ideas around queerness, horror and violence.[15]
His graduate show at Slade, titled 'Escape from Fort Bravo,' was filmed at spaguetti Western film sets in the south of Spain.
His most recent film installation Looners had its London debut as part of 'Kiss my Genders' at the Hayward Gallery in 2019.[14]
The artist filmed most of Looners (2019) in a huge complex of decaying film sets located in the Atlas Mountains.
Deliberately queering the macho history of violence, this cinematic fantasy โ โa tribute to the gang of queensโ the artist performs with โ is concerned with both reclaiming autonomy and the pleasure to be found in abandoning all control.
Style
Jenkin is an artist who also cares greatly for his personal image and style as much as his work.
Jenkin has played with fashion and androdgyny since since he was a young person.
Known for his flamboyant way of dressing and make-up, Jenkin has been a part of London's gender-queer nightlife.
