Early Life
Jason Fitz born in Nashville, Tennessee USA, on June 3 1977, he spent his entire childhood in Nashville, he fell in love with music at a very early age, and began taking singing classes when he was five, however, he soon realized he was not much of a singer, and instead focused on playing string instruments, mostly the violin.
He enrolled at a local high school, and had a rather normal childhood, going out and partying with his friends, after matriculation, he focused on his career as a musician and didn’t enroll at college, however, he did study violin at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City
Personal
He is a married man as he exchanged his wedding vows with Sunny Fitz on 8 September 2007.
The two have not shared how or where they met for the first time, and are keeping their personal matters to themselves.
It doesn’t appear that they are thinking about starting a family together anytime soon, as both of them are currently focused on working on their careers.
Although he is mostly focused on his career of a sports broadcaster, there are numerous other things he enjoys doing in his free time.
He is still quite interested in music, and even though he hasn’t been part of a band for several years now, he still occasionally plays his Violin, but mostly solely for his wife.
He is a big fan of tattoos, and has had several inked onto his skin over the years.
Both Jason and his wife Sunny are lovers of animals, and have a dog named Carlie Barkley who seems to be there as a compensation for them not having any kids.
The family of three enjoys camping in the woods together, which is the main way they usually spend their holidays.[18]
Career
Jason launched his career soon after matriculation, as he became part of The Band Perry music band, and served as their fiddle player.
The Band Perry plays country music which is Jason’s favorite genre.
He loved music and ,was popular thanks to his skill at playing the violin, however, a couple of things eventually made Jason want to switch from music to something else.
Jason and The Band Perry had numerous tours together, meaning that he was rarely at home, however, he didn’t mind this at first as he enjoyed travelling and partying with other band members.
It was a big step for Jason to leave his career as a musician behind him, but it seems that he has done it without much effort, and very successfully.
He began working for the ESPN network as their sports broadcaster in 2016, and it didn’t take long for him to get used to his new job as he was already into sports, and was keeping up with the news from several of them.
Jason has also made a couple of bad or wrong decisions during the time he has spent working for the ESPN network.
He was once asked by a fan, who is the person from the country music industry that he would most gladly punch in the face instead of refusing to answer the question, he stated that this would probably be Alan Jackson. Luckily for him, this hasn’t affected his career in any way, and he went on to be promoted to a national sports broadcaster on 2 January 2018.
He served as a co-host of the “Spain and Fitz” ESPN radio show, which aired weeknights from 5 pm to 8 pm, but stopped in May 2019.
Today, he can be heard co-hosting the “Golic and Wingo” weekday morning drive show, while he is also the host of the “First and Last” ESPN radio show which airs every weekday from 5 to 6 am.
