Jane Yong Kim is an American journalist based in New York, New York. She is a culture editor at The Atlantic. ^[1]

Kim graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor's degree in English literature and language. She went on to attend Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, receiving a Master's degree in journalism.

Prior to joining The Atlantic in November 2016, she was the culture editor at the Village Voice, the essays editor at Racked, and an opinion editor at Al Jazeera America.

She launched the literary publication of the Asian American Writers Workshop and was the managing editor of CultureStrike.org.

Kim was an assistant editor at Columbia Journalism Review.
