Education and Early Life
Jane is a native of Anna, Illinois and has a B. A. degree in Political science from Southern Illinois University.
Career
Jane is currently the co-host of WFAA-TV's "Good Morning Texas" and also reports and anchors the popular "Texas Legends" series for the daily lifestyle and information program. Before joining WFAA in 2013, she worked as an anchor for 30 years at KXAS-TV between 1982 and 2012 where she was the longest running female anchor at the station.
During her more than 30-year career in Dallas Fort Worth television news, Jane has interviewed celebrities and national leaders including President George W. Bush, First Lady Laura Bush, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, legendary Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach, Dallas Mavericks owner and entrepreneur Mark Cuban, Texas music legend Willie Nelson and popular TV host Ellen DeGeneres.
In addition to her work in television, Jane is founder and President of JaneMcGarry.com, which provides on camera coaching and media training for corporations and their executives as well as small business owners.
Jane serves on the board of the AiRS Foundation, dedicated to providing women around the world access to reconstructive breast surgery, as well as the Communications Committee of the world renowned Dallas Museum of Art.
She is also the Editor-in-chief of Let's Talk on RealJane.net since 2014 where she release daily e-magazine based in Dallas-Fort Worth , direct and coordinate producers, and guest contributors to profile interesting and unique people, places, and topics and also offers businesses a unique way to reach customers through corporate and charitable partnerships[3][1]

Worth, Jane received the following awards;
National Gracie Award for "Best Local News Anchor in the Country"
Prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for broadcast journalism
Lone Star Emmy Award for "Best Newscast in Texas"
Personal Life
Asides reporting, Jane has an avid interest in social justice and does extensive work with the Black Academy of Arts & Letters, which is dedicated to helping youth who aspire to a career in the arts.
