By the age of 8, Jamie Yuccas was already conducting interviews with people and recording them on a tape recorder her parents had gifted to her.

Yuccas decided to quit her part-time job as a grocery store cashier as a teenager.

She took on an internship at a CBS affiliate station in her hometown so that she could gain the experience she needed to become a full-time reporter.

She attended the University of Minnesota and received a B.A. in Journalism in 2003.

During her time at CBS News, Yuccas has covered high-profile stories including Orlando's Pulse nightclub shooting, the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics and the 2016 presidential campaign.Yuccas joined CBS Newspath from WCCO-TV, the CBS owned and operated station in Minneapolis where she had been a morning anchor and general assignment reporter since 2011. While there, she won two Emmy Awards and contributed reporting to the CBS Evening News and CBS This Morning for breaking news stories in the Midwest, including flooding in Minot, North Dakota., the Minnesota state government shutdown, and winter weather and flooding across the region. She also won an Emmy Award for coverage of Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

She worked as an anchor, reporter and producer at WBBH-TV in Fort Myers, Florida from 2004 to 2011. She won a Florida Associated Press award for a feature story about a U.S. marshals operation. She began her career in at KTTC in Rochester, Minnesota, where she worked from 2003 to 2004.

Personal Life

Jamie Yuccas married her former husband John Sheehan in 2007.

John works as a Regional Business Manager at Starkey Hearing Technologies in the Greater New York City Area. They have since divorced. She has no children.
