Citation Linkfacebook.comA tribute by her neighbor, Sasha: Her name was Jaime Guttenberg and she was my next door neighbor here in Parkland. She died yesterday because some asshole with a military grade weapon decided to take out his problems on a bunch of innocent kids.I didn't know Jaime well, but I would see her all the time with a big smile on her face walking her beloved dog, Charlie. She loved animals and had fallen in love with our cat, Ollie, when we used to let him go outside. One day she asked me if something had happened to him because she stopped seeing him outside and she missed him.I told her that we decided to make him an indoor cat because of the coyotes but that she could pop by next door anytime to pet him if she wanted. She never did and now I really wish she had.Jaime didn't know it yet, but in my mind she had already become my go-to babysitter for a child I don't have yet.I told Dylan how lucky are we to have such a nice, responsible young lady living next door and I always imagined her loving my one day baby as much as I loved my Max and Sam Gold, the two boys who lived next door to me who I babysat all the time as a teen. The Guttenbergs are the nicest people you will ever meet. When I looked at Jaime and her brother, Jesse, who thankfully survived yesterday, I would tell Dylan that kids could still turn out great even in today's world. They gave me hope and made me want to start my own family.Everytime I saw Jaime in their driveway, she was always smiling and laughing.I heard that she was a beautiful dancer, something her parents were very proud of.I dont know how her parents will get through this.Jaime loved them so much and she was not a sullen or rebellious teen...quite the opposite.I would see her and her mom walking Charlie and they still had this amazing, close relationship which a lot of moms lose with their teen girls.Jennifer and Jaime were still thick as thieves and I can't imagine that mother's grief today.Dylan and I are heartbroken that we will never see this sweet face again.#RIPJaime
