James Marshall Ramsey (October 5, 1980) is an American U.S. Army Veteran turned model and actor.
Early Life & Education
He was born October 5, 1980 in Portland, Oregon.
He is of Scottish Irish decent.
He attended Estacada High School.
Career
After high school, Ramsey entered into the delayed entry program for the U.S.
Army.
While serving, Ramsey worked his way up to Sargent.
After serving 6 years, he was honorably discharged.
Upon arriving home, James was involved in a motorcycle accident which left him with a shattered pelvis, and a right leg above the knee amputation.
Cooking
After learning to live his life as an amputee, Ramsey then attended Portland’s Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts for 18 months receiving an Associates Degree.
He had perfect attendance and graduated with honors.
After completing his associates degree, he then attended vocational welding classes at Portland Community college.
In 2015, James was discovered by Michael Stokes photography and was featured in multiple publications of his fine art photography.
James has also appeared on the cover of many romance novels, published across every major tattoo publication, as well as appeared on the hit IFC show Portlandia and TLC Say Yes To The Dress.
