Jaden Athey was a 16-year-old student at Louisa High School. He was a member of the school's football team and track team. Jaden is originally from Louisa, Virginia. He enjoyed wearing Hollister Co. Jaden was well-liked by his peers and is remembered for his sense of humor and for having an infectious smile. ^[3]

On December 19th at around 11:20 pm, Athey was driving west on Mountain Road when Athey lost control of his vehicle, driving over the right shoulder then hitting a tree.

Athey was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the incident.
