Murder

Jacob Taliaferro killed his mother, Lorrie Demko on early Monday June 6, 2016 and then sat down to watch TV and took a shower before he dialed 911 to turn himself in.

Jacob Taliaferro stabbed his mother Lorrie Demko in the chest with a kitchen knife and strangled her with a rope until she died.

Taliaferro then checked Demko 's neck and found no pulse.

After the killing he watched TV for some time, took a shower and called 911 at 5 a.m on Monday June 6, 2016.

When police arrived Taliaferro told them “She (Demko) had been dead for a while, and that he wanted to turn himself in.”

The police officers dispatched to the home on E. Cypress St. in Palmyra, about 25 miles east of Harrisburg, found the woman lying covered in dried blood on the floor of a bedroom with a large laceration on her chest.

Prosecutors charged Taliaferro as an adult with murder, and a judge at his arraignment Monday ordered him held without bail at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility.
