On the evening of April 22nd.
2018, after boarding a flight from Miami to Chicago, Garcia allegedly began to inappropriately groped a female passenger.
[4]Flight attendants tried to diffuse the situation, but the boyfriend of the victim whom Garcia touched wanted him kicked off the plane.
Garcia and the boyfriend began to have an altercation.
That's when the flight crew announced passengers would have to deplane and called police to arrest Garcia onboard.
During the altercation, Flight attendants called Miami-Dade police officers who arrived in time to gain control of the situation.
When the three cops made their way to seat 13C, Garcia "began to resist and pull away," the police say in their report.
A video captured the moments when Garcia struggled and called the police officers racist names.
The police officers tasered him a number of times, which included a moment when he was tasered for an entire 50 seconds.
[5]Yet, the police officers could still not get him off the plane as Garcia wedge himself into the seat and would not let himself get taken out of the plane.
The cops were eventually able to haul him off and once they reached the terminal he collapsed to the ground.
[1]The cops say that while Garcia was on the ground he began to hamper the cops and then reached for one officer's gun several times.
Finally, they got him into a police cruiser, where officers say he "kicked the driver-side rear window out of alignment," causing $150 in damage to the car.
He is being held on a $9,000 bond pending his hearing.
Heβs been charged with five counts including battery, resisting arrest and depriving an officer of their means of protection, NBC News reports.
