JackBoy was born on August 27, 1997, in Haiti and grew up in Pompano Beach, Florida. ^[8] In an interview with XXL (magazine), JackBoy states he grew up listening to Gucci Mane and Boosie Badazz. ^[12]

after his release from jail in December 2016, JackBoy released his first tape, The Stick Up Kids. In July 2017, he released the song "Grimace," with an accompanying video that's been viewed over 20 million times. He and Kodak Black followed that with "G to the A," which has received over 37 million views. ^[12]

In 2019, Jackboy released two projects, including the acclaimed Lost In My Head project, which dropped in September and included popular singles "Not A Clone" and the JetsonMade-produced "Bipolar".^[14]

In April 2020, the rapper shared "Pressure," the JACKBOY (2020) album’s emotional and defiant opening track, and dropped "Like A Million," the Tay Keith-produced collaboration with his close friend and Sniper Gang chieftain Kodak Black. Earlier, the rapper shared the DrewFilmedIt-directed video for guitar-heavy project highlight "Cleaning Crew," which reached #3 on YouTube’s trending charts.^[14][15]

Jackboy also released the official video for "Pressure" in April 2020.

At the beginning of the video, he is on a call with Kodak Black, where he gets words of encouragement to strive to be better. For the most part, that is what the song is about: being under pressure and rising above negativity.^[16]

In May 2020, JackBoy released the official video for "Pack a Punch".

Produced by SG Kid Hazel and Go Grizzly, "Pack A Punch" is a minimalist smack-talker. In the video, Jack hops on a speedboat with some models and bottles, rocking several chains and his Sniper Gang ski goggles as he dances on the dock and tries out his new jet ski.^[17]

On August 18, 2020, JackBoy released a new single and video for “Married To My Enemies” ft.

Tee Grizzley. This is the latest single off his upcoming album Living In History which is set to be released August 28th. “Married to my Enemies” is accompanied by a music video directed by Drew Filmed It and co-produced by Water Wippin Evan.^[26][27]

On August 24, 2020, he released his new music video "Ps & Qs.", also directed by Drew Filmed It.^[28][29]
