Joseph grew up in Florida but later moved to New York, New York to pursue his music career. ^[9]In his early youth, he would sell drugs, which taught him to earn a living. ^[9]

On March 30, 2016, he became the second signee to Rich The Kid's label Rich Forever Music, after Famous Dex was earlier in the same month. ^{[9] [8]}

His debut mixtape Hood Rich was released on April 6th, 2016.
