Jake Ryan is an American tech Entrepreneur known for being the general partner of Tradecraft Capital, a crypto fund. Mr. Ryan brings over 20 years of professional experience in software technology to world of cryptoasset investing. Since distributed ledgers are ultimately technologies, he believes understanding how each blockchain works and knowing the underlying technologies will add to his investment edge.  
Prior to the formation of Tradecraft, Jake Ryan was the founder and CEO of a software services firm, Venice Consulting Group, that he grew to over $30 million in total revenue. His current positions also include: advisor at Mucker Labs, operating advisor at Diversis Capital private equity firm as well as an advisor to several venture-backed start-ups.  
Mr. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Ryan is also first author of research work in the field of artificial intelligence and network security. He built one of the first neural networks for network intrusion detection in the mid-1990’s. 
From 2001 to present, Mr. Ryan has been the founder and CEO of Venice Consulting Group (VCG), a custom software development firm. Some of his clients include: American Express, The California Endowment, Fox Sports, Houlihan Lokey, Lexus, and SAG -AFTRA.  
Prior to VCG, Mr. Ryan worked for Sysinct System Integrators from January 2000 to February of 2001 and M1 Software, a Microsoft Managed Partner, from October 1998 to January of 2000 and MCI Communications Corp, from May 1997 to January 1999. 
He has also been a frequent panelist at many conferences including the Harvard Business School SC Association event on cryptocurrency, Expert Dojo and the CryptoBlockCon conference. As well, he has been on several podcasts including Investor Connect, Crypto 101, Expert Dojo and the Crypto Fund Report where he discusses all aspects of investing in cryptoassets.
