Izabella Kaminska is a British journalist. She is currently a FT Alphaville Editor for the Financial Times. She has written about various financial topics, including cryptocurrency, Eurodollars, repurchase agreements. She is based in London.
Early Life & Education
Kaminska was born and raised in West London and is a second-generation Pole. Her knowledge of economics is rooted in a childhood fascination with ancient economies, specifically the agrarian land reforms of the early Roman Republic and the coinage and price stability reforms of late Roman emperors. Her favorite emperor is Diocletian.
Early in her career, Kaminska was a journalist for the Warsaw Business Journal in Poland and Caspian Business News in Baku. She was an Associate Editor at Horizon and Platts in the Natural Gas Market, as well as a graduate trainee for Reuters .
As an Associate Producer at CNBC from 2005 to 2008, Kaminska worked on the programs Squawk Box and Opec Coverage. She joined the Financial Times in 2008 as an Alphaville Reporter and became an Alphaville Editor in 2017.
