Early years
Isamaya grew up in Cambridge but at 18, after finishing school, shemoved to London. She specialized in 3D design at Chelsea College of Arts and ended up going on to study Product and Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins as well as joining the Theo Adams Company; a London-based collective of artists, dancers, musicians, actors and singers. "When I was studying at university, I started doing children’s face painting as a weekend job.
Really quickly, I got to a stage where I was taking it too far; the mums would be saying, 'Hurry up, it's been 20 minutes,' and I would be sitting there creating an intricate Spiderman on the face of a crying child."

Career
Once Isamaya did a special make-up for her friend and then it became a word of mouth thing; she started getting real make-up jobs.
She did her first fashion shoot with for I-D magazine with the photographer Matthew Stone. [5]From humble beginnings as a face painter, the young makeup artist now has done editorials for W magazine, Garage Magazine, Love magazine and several more. She has worked with stars such as Rihanna, Fergie, Kim Kardashian, and Miley Cyrus, and designed makeup looks for runway shows including Iris van Herpen Couture. [7]
Beyond cosmetic artistry, Ffrench’s creative talent spans to include projects such as window displays in collaboration with Liberty of London for London Fashion Week 2013. [7]
In 2014, she was appointed the beauty editor of I-D magazine, a position she left a year later. [7]
In 2015, Ffrench was appointed as ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent’s cosmetics line YSL Beauté. Isamaya is part of the London-based Theo Adams Company, a collective of artists, dancers, musicians, actors and singers — and is represented by agency Streeters London. [7]
In October 2016, she joined Tom Ford Beauty as Creative Artist Consultant. [7]
