In 2018, Isabelle Lagacé was sentenced to eight years in prison for attempting to smuggle millions of dollars of cocaine in luggage aboard a cruise ship headed to Australia. ^[1]

In 2016, Isabelle Lagacé, Melina Roberge, and Andre Tamine were caught trying to smuggle $30 million CAD ($23 Million US) of cocaine into Australia.

The trio were each charged with one count of "import commercial quantity of border controlled drug."

All three have pleaded guilty to the charges.

Roberge was sentenced to a non-parole period of 4 years and 9 months in prison before she is likely to be deported to Canada. Tamin will be sentenced in October 2018. ^[1]

To get the drugs to Australia, the trio took a Sea Princess cruise, which started in England and visited Canada, United States, Colombia, Peru, and Auckland all before arriving in Australia on Sunday. They had hid 95 kilograms of cocaine in their suitcases.

The friends posted many photos from the trip on Instagram. During they trip they posted photos riding all-terrain vehicles, visiting Times Square, chilling on the beach, and other activities.
