Iris Ross was a resident of Phoenix, Arizona. ^[1]

She was married to Anthony Milan Ross. They both had two children together, Anora and Nigel Ross. ^[1]

On Monday, December 25, 2017, Anthony shot and killed Iris along with their two children in Phoenix, Arizona, and entered into a six-hour long standoff with police. ^[1]

Iris had been shot shortly before 3:45 p.m. local time, when officers werecalled to Highland Apartments, 1601 E. Highland Ave. ^[1]

Her body was found outside an apartment at the complex.

At one point, witnesses stated seeing Anthony rummaging through the her pockets.

They asked Anthony if she was fine and he responded by pointing his handgun at them and telling them no. ^[1]

His two children were later found dead inside the apartment.
