History
Anthony grew up in a household where playing loud music was absolutely acceptable.
At a young age, Anthony’s mother, Tywana, would endlessly listen to music - whether it be in the car or at home.
It was his mother’s love for music that drove Anthony to want to learn how he could become a part of the hip hop culture.
Throughout his teenage years, Anthony began connecting with old friends and eventually formed a group called CBC (Crazy Beats Crew).
The group produced, performed and showcased their music throughout their high school years and received much love from fellow students.
This stemmed Anthony’s love for music to grow even more.
Seeing local support from peers and family, Anthony realized he needed to work twice as harder if he wanted to be recognized on a larger scale.
After graduating from high school, Anthony started taking music producing serious and locked himself in his home studio - not eating or sleeping for days at a time. It was at the age of 28 where his hard work payed off as he was able to nab his first major placement with frequent Kanye West collaborator GLC (rapper). With a co-sign from hip hop rapper GLC, Anthony was now ready to elevate his career to the highest level.
After seeing himself mentioned in popular blog sites like 2DopeBoyz[10] and others, Anthony began to think to himself maybe he should start a online hub where he could be a tastemaker, but still produce music.
The thought remained just a thought until the spring of 2014, when Anthony attended a hip hop music showcase to watch a few local artist perform over beats he had created. Once returning from the show Anthony paced his studio back and fourth for hours thinking how could he start a platform so that he could be more connected with the culture and help artist reach new levels.
That same day, after putting much thought into it, Anthony got in touch with a graphic designer on popular freelance website Fiverr and had a logo made for Inyaearhiphop. After the purchase of the logo, came the purchase of the domain Inyaearhiphop.com and before you know it Anthony had fully launched Inyaearhiphop[21] the third week of May 2014.
Over the years, Anthony, with the help of writers, kept the site updated daily with fresh news, music, videos and interviews.
The content that Anthony and his team put out didn’t go unnoticed as major rap artist such as Dej Loaf, Cardi B, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, and others started to support the blog by showing love to Inyaearhiphop social media pages.
As the years went on Inyaearhiphop started to receive attention from mainstream media. Networks like Highsnobiety,[11] Inquisitr,[12] Genius (website),[13] and others began pulling content from the blog and using it in their articles. This showed Anthony that he had created a very much influential platform. In 2017, two time Grammy award-winning rapper GLC marked the website as the new Rolling Stones of our time.
