Ian Kahaloa is a pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds minor league club the Billings Mustangs. Kahaloa hails from Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

The Reds drafted Kahaloa when he finished high school, in the fifth round of the 2015 draft.

Kahaloa attended Campbell High School. In 2015, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser named Kahaloa All-State Pitcher of the Year.

Baseball America listed Kahaloa as the Reds’ 26th best prospect, while Baseball Prospecuts listed him as the 10th best prospect. He played his rookie 2016 season with the Billings Mustangs, posting a 2-2 record and a 2.82 ERA in 10 starts. ^[2]

In April 2017, Kahaloa was suspended for 50 games when he failed a drug test.

It was the second time he had failed the test.

Videos surfaced of him doing cocaine and smoking marijuana on Snapchat. ^[3]

Ian is married to Kannai Kahaloa.
