Rape Allegations

On November 15, 2017 Hunter Day was arrested Nov. 15 in Canadian County, Oklahoma on a complaint of second degree rape, possession of child pornography and soliciting sex from a minor using technology. After her arrest, Day was booked into the Canadian County Jail and her bail was set at $85,000. She later bonded out.
The Canadian County Sheriff's Office reported that they were contacted by the parents of a 16-year-old male student who gave them the boy's phone.
On the phone, authorities found text messages and naked photographs.
The boy's parents were concerned that Hunter Day had already had sex with their son and that she was his chemistry teacher.
The boy's parents had learned that Day and him had planned to meet Wednesday for sex at her apartment.
βThis is a classic case of a serious breach of public trust.
School teachers are entrusted to protect and educate our children, not to engage in an unlawful sexual relationship with them,β said Chris West, Canadian County Sheriff.
Investigators then began using the boy's phone to contact Hunter Day to see if the meeting was still on.
She allegedly replied "Yes" and told him to hurry and get there before her husband got home from work.
She also noted that the door would be unlocked.
When investigators arrived, they opened the door and allegedly found Hunter Day sitting on the living room floor with the lights turned off, candles lit and wearing a t-shirt and workout shorts.
She allegedly admitted to having sex with the boy and sending and receiving naked photographs.
Yukon Public Schools has said they are cooperating with the investigation.
She has been suspended pending the investigation.
Charges
On November 22, 2017 Hunter Day was formally charged with rape in the second degree and soliciting sexual conduct with a minor by use of technology in Canadian County court.
