Gleybor Torres hits two home runs and collects four hits in a 8-4 victory over the Baltimore Orioles

New York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres collected his first 4-hit game against the Baltimore Orioles on this day, which included two home runs, a double, and a single. It was his second multi-homer game, the first one being on August 1, 2018 in his rookie season. The homers on August 1 came against Alex Cobb and Mike Wright, the same pitchers who surrendered the home runs against Gleyber Torres on April 4.[5]

Torres's second home run off Mike Wright was a three-run blast with the Yankees down by two runs.[+]

Torres became the to have 3 extra-base hits and at least 4 total hits since Joe DiMaggio did it on June 28, 1936 against the St. Louis Browns, which coincidentally is the team now known as the Baltimore Orioles.
