Biography

Wick was born and raised in the state of Vermont fo most of her life. [undefined] She grew up in the city of Burlington which is where she continues to reside with her husband, John Yackovetsky. [undefined] [undefined]
She is a graduate of Burlington High School, class of 1990. [undefined] She studied a lot and was involved in many school activities. Besides being a soccer player at her school, she was also involved in tennis and alpine skiing. She was a member of the varsity club and the National Honor Society. [undefined]

After high school, she lived in the state of New Hampshire where she studied at Dartmouth College in the city of Hanover for four years. [undefined] She received her bachelor of arts degree in English literature in 1994. She took the courses required for entry into a medical school program. She was involved in many activities and was a member of a number of clubs. [undefined] She was a part of the women's rugby team along with track and field. After Dartmouth, she was accepted into Albany Medical College where she studied medicine and received her Doctor of Medicine degree. [undefined] She attended one year of residency, but did not finish after she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

After college, she held positions as a research associate in the early 2000s.
She worked for Fletche Spaght, Inc in Boston under the direction of business consultants, performed research for client projects. [undefined] While there, she created healthcare benchmark analysis for National Healthcare organization aiming to improve the bottom line while providing excellent care. [undefined]
At Parexel, she was also the imaging research associate for Perceptive Informatics, Inc in Waltham. She also co-authored clinical trial protocols for imaging aspect of Phase III global clinical trials. She trained radiologists on how to use a windows interface when evaluating images for clinical trials, and digitally processed CAT scans, bone scans, and x-rays. [undefined]
After her time as a research associate, she began to work as a loan originator for Maple Tree Mortgage for a few years.
She sourced borrowers for residential mortgages and completed documentation for closing.

She now works for her own firm as a recruiter.
Online Shaming
On January 2018, a man by the name of Josh Thomas posted a screenshot of a racially offensive joke by Dr. Wick.
"Do you think Trump will bring back slavery?
I could use a maid."

Thomas also posted screenshots of her other social media profiles of LinkedIn and Facebook with the message: "Sharing is caring kids.
Make her famous".
After about five days, the post was shared more than 135,000 times.
The post made by Dr. Wick was on January, 2017, but Thomas discovered it and shared it nearly a year later.
It later came to light that Wick is suffering from bipolar disorder and that her post might have been made during a manic episode--something Wick's own mother speculated. [undefined] Wick herself denied this, telling a blog, "I wasn’t manic, I was making a satirical joke. I regret that I did it because it was a little too over the line. I meant it as a joke but I apologize if I offended anybody." [undefined]
