Hasim Rahman Jr. vs. Kenzie Morrison was a professional boxing match that took place on April 29, 2022 for the World Boxing Council United States Heavyweight Title.[9] Morrison tko'd Rahman. The match was broadcast on FITE TV.[12]

The match was billed as "Sons of Legends."

Hasim Rahman Jr. is the son of former Lineal/IBF/WBC world heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman. Rahman defeated Lennox Lewis in 2001 to become champion. Kenzie Morrison is the son of former World Boxing Organization world heavyweight champion Tommy Morrison. Morrison defeated George Foreman in 1993 to become champion. Tommy Morrison died in 2013. Kenzie Morrison is managed by Joe Kelly. He has been advised by his cousin Trent Morrison.

Hasim Rahman Jr. has reported that he had up near 100 amateur fights.

He also competed in unlicensed matches at the world famous Mayweather Boxing Club, which is owned by Floyd Mayweather. Kenzie only had one amateur boxing match. He was trained by his father briefly at the defunct TCB Boxing Gym in Wichita, Kansas.

Kenzie Morrison was born in 1990. As of August 2022 Morrison holds a professional boxing record of 20 wins, 0 losses, with 2 draws. He is the reputation of being an explosive puncher, as eighteen of his wins have come by knockout. He holds a pro win over Sam Shewmaker. Most of his matches have occurred in Oklahoma. He has also boxed in Kansas City, Missouri. Morrison turned pro in 2014 with a win over Marvin Babe. He competed twice in 2021, defeating Skylar Thompson and Tony Lopez. Rahman Jt. turned pro in 2017 with a win over Demetrius Shaw in 2017. He competed three times in 2021, defeating Alejandro de la Torre, Mario Rodriguez Juarez and Nathan Bedwell. Morrison attended Jay High School in Oklahoma. He boxes out of Shawnee, Kansas. Rahman and his family are from Baltimore, Maryland and he lives and trains in Las Vegas, Nevada. As of May 2022 his professional boxing record is 12 wins, 1 loss, with 6 wins coming by knockout.

Location

Hasim Rahman Jr. vs. Kenzie Morrison was held at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 29, 2022. It was the first time in history that sons of former heavyweight champions have competed against each other.

Fifth Round Technical Knockout

Rahman won the first three rounds by boxing cautiously.

Morrison landed hard, clean punches in the fourth round.

Morrisn knocked down Rahman in the fifth round.

He beat the count but the match was stopped by the referee after Morrison landed a follow up flurry of punches.[11]
