Rahman Jr. Had 100 Amateur Matches
He is the son of Hasim Rahman. Hasim Rahman Sr. won the Lineal/WBC/IBF world heavyweight championship in 2001 by defeating Lennox Lewis. His brother, Sharif Rahman is also a professional boxer. He resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the last 100 years, there have only been 31 lineal world heavyweight champions.
Rahman was a standout football player in middle school, playing tight end, running back, and wide receiver.
He eventually decided to pursue boxing.
His mother has been involved in his boxing career from the start of his career.
He attended Durango High School and Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Rahman Jr. had around 100 amateur fights.
He competed in a sparring session against Donovan Cameron that gained national attention as portions of the bout were broadcast by Showtime. The fight lasted over twenty-five minutes with Hasim Jr. winning by stoppage. It occurred at the world-famous Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, Nevada.[27]
Involved In Car Accident
Incarcerated For Over One Year
In 2012, Rahman Jr. was driving recklessly when he was involved in a car accident in Las Vegas that killed 43-year-old Ricardo Martinez, the driver of the other car.
Rahman was incarcerated for over a year.
In a 2017 interview by ESPN he stated:
It was an eye opener for me.
Going through that really changed my career and how I felt as a person and son, a father and a husband.
It changed me.
I am grateful God blessed me to be in this position today.
I just want to stay as busy as I can and learn as much as I can and fight for a world title when I'm ready.
I'm not going to rush.
There's no rush ,It's not like I'm going to wait forever.
I will fight for the title when I'm ready and I know if it put in the work, I'll be ready in about two years.
That's the goal for me.
If it takes three or four years, it does, whatever the case may be.
I'll keep racking up the knockouts until it happens.
In a 2019 interview, Rahman Jr. stated that his son had died.
Despite being imprisoned and losing his son, he said that he remains concentrated on his career and is dedicated to training.
He has also stated that the car accident he was involved in was an accident and was not intentional.[28]

He weighs approximately 250 pounds and boxes in the heavyweight division.
He does resistance movements in the gym which allows him to carry his weight well.
As of April 2022 he has a professional boxing record of 12 wins and 1 loss, with 6 knockouts coming by knockout.
In his pro debut on April 4, 2017 he tko'd Ralph Alexander at the MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill,Maryland. He boxed four times in 2018. Rahman Jr. defeated Ronnie Hale at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia in February 2018. He defeated Raymond Ochieng on August 17, 2018. He stands six feet three inches tall and boxes in the orthodox stance. He competed once in 2019. On June 22, 2019 he defeated Curtis Head by decision.
He has been interviewed by the website FightHype and his career has been covered by ESPN. As of June2022, he is ranked 51st in the United States in his division by BoxRec. Boxrec has him ranked 216th in the world as a heavyweight.
Rahman vs. Morrison
On February 7, 2020 Rahman Jr. defeated Alejandro de la Torres by unanimous decision at the Centro de Convenciones Mundo Nuevo in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He also defeated Torres on February 5, 2021. He defeated Nathan Bedwell in August 2021. Hasim Rahman Jr. vs. Kenzie Morrison took place on April 29, 2022 with Morrison winning by technical knockout.
