When Yoon was 15 years old, he sold his first company, a Microsoft Zune-related community, ZuneBoards, for $62,000 in 2008. At the time of the sale, the community had more than 60,000 members, 270,000 discussion posts, and 70 voluntary staff members. Originally listed for sale at a starting price of $30,000, two entities entered a bidding contest until CrowdGather Inc., a Woodland Hills based company got the winning bid.
In 2011, Yoon founded Spuxy Studios, a digital marketing agency around the same time he began to attend University of California, Irvine. Through his time at Spuxy Studios, Yoon built a portfolio of high profile clients ranging from Los Angeles Dodgers to Korean spirits manufacturer HiteJinro.
