Halle Bailey is an American singer and performer, best known for being part of the Rhythm and blues group Chloe x Halle.
Early Life
Halle was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She and her older sister, Chloe Bailey, spent their early years in Atlanta, and later lived and worked in Los Angeles, California.[1]
Career
A child actress as well as a singer, she made her screen debut in the 2006 feature film Last Holiday.[1]
Halle and her sister Chloe started their musical journey on YouTube, posting covers of other artists songs. After uploading a cover for "Pretty Hurts" by Beyonce, the sisters caught the attention of Beyonce's record label. They are now signed to the label, Parkwood Entertainment, and have released their debut EP Sugar Symphony in 2016. [2]
In 2018, she got into acting and began starring in the series Grown-ish.
It was also announced in July 2019 that she would be playing Ariel in Disney's live action remake of The Little Mermaid (1989 film).[1]
