Anderson was a nursing student in her senior year. She is remembered as being friendly, with a big heart.

She worked at Jazzman's Cafe on BU's campus for over three years.

Death

On Friday March 9, 2018, Anderson was found deceased in her Binghamton, New York, home by police conducting a welfare check.

Officers were sent to her residence at around 1:00 p.m. local time to check on her well-being and discovered her body.

Authorities are investigating her death as a homicide, and stated the person of interest is a male nursing student at BU, identified as Orlando Tercero, who left the country before her body was found.

Anderson and Tercero had a previous romantic relationship.
