Grasshoppers (band) 草蜢 [0] is a Hong Kong Cantonese male singing group. This group have 3 members, Edmond So Chi Wai, Calvin Yat-Chi and Remus Yat-Kit Choy. Calvin and Remus are brothers and Edmond is their neighbor and they grew up together in a poor neighborhood in Hong Kong and become good friends.
In 1985 they entered the new talent singing contest organized by TVB and Capital Artists where Anita Mui was one of the judges.
Anita Mui saw a great talent in the trio and later they became her backup-dancers and singers.
She became their mentor and taught them many skills in singing and dancing.
The trio continue to go on tour with Anita Mui and later they released their first Album called Grasshopper [1] in February 26, 1988.
The trio has become very popular in Hong Kong and have released a lot of Cantonese Albums and also Mandarin Albums.|Cantonese album ( 粵語專輯)
