Goody Grace
Goody Grace
Goody Grace (born June 19, 1997) is a pop singer, known for his songs "Scumbag", "Wasting Time" and "Memorie$." He became a Sensation in April 2020, when spotted holding hands with Kate Beckinsale.
Career
Grace started when he was four years old, later finding an audience as a teenager with covers of artists like The Weeknd and Taylor Swift.[12]
Goody was 17-years-old when he moved from Canada to Los Angeles, California to pursue his music career. In one of the interviews he said:
"Anything is possible.
I came from a super small town and moved to L.A. and was able to live my dream.
It's proof that possibilities are infinite.
I hope everyone takes that from my music."[9]
Since then, he has released a plethora of music, including last year's track Scumbag, and has performed at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo Music Festival, and even Jimmy Kimmel Live.[9] He co-wrote "Flower" for Cody Simpson and "That One Song" with Gnash, eventually appearing on tracks by Huey Mack ("Things Change"), Hoodie Allen ("Heartbreak"), and Gnash ("Two Shots"). His debut single, "Memories," arrived in 2015. "Pretend," "So, What Does This All Mean?," and "Memorie$," featuring Jesse Rutherford and A$AP Ant, followed in 2016. The next year, he continued with the release of "April" and "Strange Times," while the previously issued "Two Shots" slow-burned its way to 12 million online streams, landing Grace a deal with Atlantic.[12]
His major-label debut, Infinite, arrived in spring 2018 and included "Two Shots" as well as the single "In the Light of the Moon" featuring Lil Aaron. That summer, Grace re-teamed with Rutherford for the single "Too High," and issued "Rest Your Eyes" later that December. The single "Wasting Time" appeared in summer 2019.[12]
Musical Style
Grace sings, raps, and plays guitar.
He combines his love of hip-hop and acoustic guitar into a style influenced as much by Wiz Khalifa and Gucci Mane as Bob Dylan and Morrissey.[12]
Personal Life
On April 12, 2020, Goody Grace was spotted enjoying a stroll with Kate Beckinsale. The pair were holding hands in photos published by TMZ, as they walk around Brentwood, California. The couple have also been spotted together as far back as January 2020, and were photographed leaving a pre-Grammys party together.[7]
Grace has friends in common with Beckinsale's ex Pete Davidson. Back in December 2019 Goody performed with Pete's best friend Machine Gun Kelly and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker at a concert in Los Angeles, California.[9]
Goody and MGK also feature on raper Mod Sun's single Stay Away, set for release in April 2020.[9]
