Gianna "Gia" Martello (born June 10, 1989)[5] is an American dancer, choreographer, and reality television star. She is currently a choreographer at the Abby Lee Dance Company and is most notable for being Abby Lee Miller's assistant choreographer on the Lifetime show Dance Moms.[2]
Early Life & Education
Martello is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. [1] She started dancing at the age of 4.[2] She then started dancing competitively at the age of 8.[11]
She trained at Reign Dance Productions before graduating from Point Park University with a Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations.[5]
Growing up, she tried other activities outside of dance, including gymnastics and swimming.[14]
Career
At 16 years old, Martello began choreographing routines for the Abby Lee Dance Company.[11]
