Gia Gunn (also known as Gia Ichikawa, born May 10, 1990) [1] is a reality television star. She is best known for competing on the Season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race.
Early Life
She grew up in Carpentersville, Illinois the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago in a small diverse town. She is a 4th generation Japanese American.
Career
Gunn discovered the art of female impersonation, AKA Drag, after moving to Chicago and observing drag shows.
She then decided to perform herself and became a headlining drag performer.
Upon graduating high school, she enrolled in cosmetology school and received her cosmetology license.
She auditioned for RuPaul's Drag Race while working in the hair industry full-time and doing drag at night.
She became interested in culture and art from a young age, developing a passion for Nihon Buyo, Japanese Classical Dance.
She was 5 years old when she made her stage debut.
She competed against Bianca Del Rio on season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race.
Gia returned She returned to Rupaul’s Drag Race in Season 4 of the All Stars, but was eliminated in the third episode after falling in the bottom two with her performance in Snatch Game.
