Ghulam Faijullaha Fahim

Ghulam Faijullaha Fahim was a suspected Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militant who was killed in crossfire by police while in their custody on June 18, 2016. Fahim was a college student and a member of banned Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir. [1]

Police Custody

On June 15, 2016 Fahim was caught by police in Madaripur, Bangladesh after he and two other suspected Islamists attacked and wounded 50-year-old mathematics lecturer Ripon Chakrabarti, a Hindu. He remained in police custody wanted for questioning. [undefined]

Death

Fahim was killed when officers came under attack in a farmland area on June 18, 2016, after taking him to a river in search of his associates.
