George Korchev was a Registered nurse who hailed from Mundelein, Illinois.

In September 2016, he passed his Nursing board exam, and was set to start a new position on September 26, 2016, as a Registered nurse at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois.

He was previously a Patient care technician.

On September 25, 2016, around 12:00 a.m., Korchev was walking on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus, when a shooting occurred on Green St., and he was hit by stray bullets that fatally killed him.
